For the last couple of months, I've been craving Asian food on a new level.
I've been used to eating thai food my whole life, but lately I've also been craving other Asian foods in general.
During the weekdays, I try to make dinners that are easy and quick to make, preferably under 30 min (or less), but during the weekends, I enjoy taking the time to prepare and cook a home cooked meal - with love.
Lately, I've been craving Asian soups, so on friday, I made . . . Ramen noodles!
This actually didn't take so long to prepare, because I just had to cut up the vegetables, then I boiled everything in the same pot (also the pasta, because yes - I didn't want to clean another pot).
I boiled 2 liters of water with 4 vegetable bouillon squares, then I added sugar, vinegar, gochujang, soy sauce and pok choi.
Before serving, I garnished with A LOT of spring onion, red onion, coriander, extra sugar, vinegar, chili flakes and miso paste. Then it was ready to serve!
KIMCHI
I also just recently tasted kimchi (for the first time in my life) and boy! What an awakening that experience was.
The kimchi I tasted, was store bought, so I know that I haven't had the real stuff yet (homemade kimchi). But from my research online, this is the best kimchi that you can buy in the store, because it's fresh and it's made in Korea.
I bought my kimchi at 'Smak av Asia' (which is an Asian store here in Grimstad). And the brand is called 'JONGGA'.
Also, I bought two other kimchi's because I couldn't get my hands on the one I actually wanted, but they were NOTHING compared to the JONGGA kimchi.
This is the one I'm talking about:
