Bread rolls

Last week, my daughter said to me: "Mom, can we have a breakfast with ALL of the different things on the table? Do you remember what you said, mom? That we could have a breakfast like that EVERY Saturday!?"

I asked what she meant, and she reminded me of one time (6 months ago), when she had a friend over, I had warmed up some bread rolls in the oven, made scrambled eggs, and put all of these different spreads on the kitchen table, so that they could choose what they wanted. (Normally, I just ask my daughter what she wants for breakfast, and then I make it for her).

And my daughter loved it so much, that she said that she wanted me to do it more often.

I had told her that we could do it every Saturday, if she wanted to. (But that thought has obviously slipped my mind, because I've still managed to ask her almost every day, what she wants for breakfast).

So, we warmed up some bread rolls in the oven, and I put out all of the different spreads and veggies on the kitchen table. Then she said: "Remember the avocado, mom! We also had avocado the last time! Do you remember?"

(Yes - her detailed memory is amazing).
